RIDE CULTURE SALT - 24-25 NOVEMBER 2017

RIDE CULTURE SALT - 24-25 NOVEMBER 2017

This year's Salt event kicked off with style at the Friday night launch party. A Bristol focused line up included up and coming bands John Dean, James Humfrys and Sam Gallop amongst some big names in the local scene such as Insomnichord and a Live DJ set from Elder Island. The latest Kai Neville masterpiece "Listen Now Misty Dawn" was screened in the Spin Bar and Jubël refreshed us with their peach infused beer.

Nursing a slightly heavy head from the previous night's antics, we got straight down to the main event on Saturday. Surfers Against Sewage, Bristol harbour clean up and City to Sea joined forces to educate people about plastic pollution and how it effects our oceans; thanks to those of you who braved the cold to head out with the harbourmaster and clean up the harbour's waters!

Arbo surfboards hosted a hand plane workshop whilst Xcel put on a Q&A about their latest wetsuit technology. Throughout the afternoon we were treated to yet more talks. Adur, heir to the throne of Pukas  showed us their big wave guns and spoke about the family oriented Spanish brand; Surfing England gave a great talk about their exciting role in the future of the sport and the one and only Luke Dillon was here to host the day's last Q&A.

We'd like to extend a massive thanks to all of you that came down to the harbour to get stuck in with the event; and of course to all of the brands and speakers that made it such a success. We're busy planning what's to come in 2018 so keep your ears to the ground to be among the first to hear - in the mean time check out our after movie and relieve an amazing weekend!
